Plan Your Defense Layout

Identify vulnerable entry points and high-traffic areas where mobs spawn or enemies approach. Position mounted guns like the MG42 and Flak 38 to cover these zones with overlapping fire. Elevated positions give better sightlines and make guns harder for ground threats to reach.

Create Ammunition Supply Lines

Store crafted ammunition near each mounted weapon position. Use chests or item frames to keep ammo organized and accessible. During combat, you won't have time to fetch supplies from distant storage, so prepare in advance.

Test Your Setup

Before a real threat arrives, test your guns' firing arcs and reload times. Ensure you can smoothly transition between weapons and that ammunition is truly accessible during combat. Practice entering and exiting mounted positions.

Maintain Redundancy

Set up multiple guns covering the same area so one weapon's downtime doesn't leave gaps. Combine different weapon types—use the Flak 38 for aerial threats and machine guns for ground enemies. This layered approach maximizes your base's survivability during raids.
