The Freddy mask is your primary defense against hostile animatronics during the night. Craft or locate the mask, then equip it in your helmet slot like any other armor piece.

How Protection Works

When wearing the mask, most animatronics will not recognize you as a threat and will ignore your presence. This allows you to move freely through areas where animatronics are active without triggering attacks. However, the mask does not make you completely invisible—certain animatronics with advanced AI may still detect you under specific conditions.

Important Limitations

Remember that the mask only provides protection while equipped. If you remove it or it breaks, you lose this defense immediately. Additionally, some animatronics may have special behaviors that bypass the mask's protection, so always have an escape route planned. The mask works best when combined with awareness of animatronic patrol patterns and stage locations.
