How to Configure Vanilla Hands So the Mod Switches Views Automatically

The Vanilla Hands option lets the mod decide when to show the full body model and when to fall back to the classic floating-hands view. This is useful because some items and angles look awkward with a full body, while others look great.

What Vanilla Hands Does

When enabled, the mod watches two things: your view angle (how far up or down you're looking) and the item you're holding. Based on those, it automatically swaps between the enhanced first-person model and the vanilla-style hands. You don't press anything — it just happens.

Turning It On or Off

1. Open the mod's config screen (via your mod menu or the config file).

2. Find the Vanilla Hands entry.

3. Enable it if you want automatic switching, or disable it to always use the full body model.

4. Apply and close.

Why You Might Want It

  • Looking straight down at your feet: the body model shines here.
  • Holding certain tools or items where the arm clips: vanilla hands can look cleaner.
  • Combat or precise aiming: some players prefer the classic view.

Tune it to taste — there's no wrong setting, only what feels right for how you play.
