Optimize Performance While Using Feel True

Understand the Performance Impact

Feel True uses 32x resolution textures with PBR properties, which is more demanding than vanilla textures but designed to stay performant. The pack balances visual quality with frame rates.

Adjust Graphics Settings

1. Open Options → Video Settings

2. Set Mipmaps to 2 or higher—this reduces texture flickering and improves performance on distant blocks

3. Keep Render Distance at a level your system handles (16-20 chunks is typical)

4. Enable Biome Blend for smoother transitions between biomes

5. Disable or lower Particles if you experience lag near water or fire

Use Shaders Wisely

Shaders enhance Feel True's PBR effects but increase GPU load. Start with a lightweight shader and monitor frame rates. If performance drops significantly, try a simpler shader or disable it entirely—Feel True still looks detailed without one.

Monitor Frame Rate

Use F3 (Debug screen) to check FPS. If it drops below your target, reduce render distance or lower shader complexity before removing Feel True, as the pack itself is optimized for survival play.
