Planting Basil Seeds

Basil is a fresh herb ingredient essential for many pizzas in this mod. To start growing basil, you'll need basil seeds, which can be found or crafted. Plant them on farmland using the same mechanics as standard Minecraft crops—till soil with a hoe and place seeds on the prepared blocks.

Growth and Harvesting

Basil grows through several stages before reaching maturity. Watch for the plant to display its full, leafy appearance, indicating it's ready to harvest. Break the mature basil plant to collect basil leaves, which serve as a key ingredient in pizza recipes.

You can replant the area immediately after harvesting. For a steady supply, consider creating a dedicated farm section with multiple rows of basil. Water your farmland to speed up growth—basil will mature faster with hydration from nearby water sources.

Storage and Use

Store harvested basil in your inventory or chests for later use. Basil leaves are primarily used at cooking stations from Farmer's Delight to prepare pizza dough and toppings. Having a stockpile ensures you can craft pizzas whenever you're ready without waiting for new crops to mature.
