Finding Mountain Biomes

Use /locatebiome meadow, /locatebiome grove, /locatebiome jagged_peaks, or /locatebiome stony_peaks to locate the new mountain biomes. These generate at much higher elevations than traditional mountains, reaching up to Y=319. Each biome has distinct vegetation and terrain characteristics.

Gathering Mountain Resources

Mountain biomes contain goats, snow, and varied stone types. Collect deepslate, copper ore, and amethyst geodes from exposed cliffs. The high altitude provides excellent vantage points for bases and observation towers.

Building Considerations

The expanded height allows for dramatic vertical builds. Use the natural terrain as a foundation for castles, towers, or sky bases. Combine deepslate blocks, copper, and nether wood sets for modern aesthetics. The thin air at high elevations creates unique visual effects and makes these biomes ideal for ambitious construction projects.
