Finding Axolotls

Axolotls spawn naturally in underground water sources, particularly in lush caves and dripstone caves. Search for still water pools deep underground—axolotls prefer these calm environments. Use /locatebiome lush_cave or dripstone_cave to find suitable spawning areas quickly.

Breeding Axolotls

Once you've found axolotls, collect them using a water bucket. Bring them to your base and create a dedicated water tank. Feed two axolotls tropical fish or other appropriate food to enter breeding mode. They'll produce baby axolotls that grow over time.

Benefits of Axolotl Farming

Axolotls are useful companions—they attack hostile mobs in water and can help defend underwater bases. Breeding them provides a renewable source of axolotls for decoration, mob defense, or trading. Keep their water clean and well-lit to maintain a healthy population in your underground farm.
