Turning Seed Pouches into Leather with the Cutting Board
Why Seed Pouches Are Worth Keeping
Quark adds seed pouches as a way to store seeds compactly. If you have accumulated pouches you no longer need, the Farmer's Cutting add-on lets you break them back down into leather on the Cutting Board. This turns a storage item into a genuinely useful crafting material, so do not throw pouches away — process them instead.
The Recipe in Practice
Place your Cutting Board and right-click to open it. Put a seed pouch into the input slot. The board will display the leather output; take it out to complete the conversion. There is no tool required and no fuel — the board does the work instantly. If you have several pouches, repeat the process one at a time, or keep the board open and feed pouches in as you take leather out.
Getting the Most Out of It
- Empty pouches you are not using for seed storage rather than letting them clutter chests.
- Leather is used for books, item frames, armor and many other recipes, so this is a reliable early source if you are short on cows.
- Combine this with log stripping: process logs for bark and pouches for leather in the same session to clear inventory space and stock up on materials.
- If the recipe does not show, confirm the item is a seed pouch and not loose seeds — only the pouch converts.
