Setting Up a Cutting Board Workstation for Wood and Leather Processing

Plan Your Station

A dedicated Cutting Board station saves trips and keeps your processing organized. Pick a spot near your storage and crafting area. Place the Cutting Board on a solid block or the ground where you can reach it easily, and put a chest or two right next to it for inputs and outputs.

Stock the Inputs

Keep the chests supplied with the materials you process most:

  • Logs of every wood type you use, for stripping into stripped logs and bark.
  • Seed pouches you no longer need, for converting into leather.
  • Leftover wood items and bark, for recycling into more basic materials.

Because the Cutting Board needs no fuel and no tools, the only limiting factor is what you feed it. A well-stocked chest means you can process a full inventory without leaving the spot.

Workflow

1. Open the Cutting Board.

2. Pull an input from the chest into the input slot.

3. Take the output and drop it into the output chest.

4. Repeat, switching inputs as needed.

Why This Setup Works

Stripping, recycling and pouch-to-leather conversion all happen on the same block, so one station covers all three tasks. Grouping them together means you never have to hunt for the right recipe or move between machines. It also makes it obvious when you are running low on logs or pouches, since the input chest empties visibly.

Maintenance

Sort outputs regularly so the chests do not overflow, and top up logs and pouches before big building sessions. If a recipe stops working, check that the input is the correct item type — the board only accepts items it has a recipe for.
