Recycling Wood Materials on the Cutting Board

What "Wood Recycling" Means Here

The Farmer's Cutting add-on extends the Cutting Board beyond simple log stripping. It lets you break down various wood-derived items back into more basic forms, so leftover crafting scraps do not go to waste. The exact inputs and outputs depend on the wood type and the item, but the principle is consistent: put a wood material in, get a simpler or more useful material out.

How to Do It

1. Place a Cutting Board and open its interface.

2. Insert the wood item you want to recycle into the input slot.

3. Check the output shown — if a valid recipe exists, the result appears on the right.

4. Take the output to finish. No tools, no fuel, no waiting.

If nothing appears in the output, that item has no recycling recipe. Try a different wood item or a different wood type, since recipes are defined per material.

Why Bother

Recycling lets you recover value from items you would otherwise burn or trash. Bark from stripped logs, surplus wood blocks, and similar materials can be converted into forms you actually need for building or crafting. This is especially useful on survival worlds where every log counts, and it pairs naturally with the stripping recipes — strip logs first, then recycle the bark and any leftover wood pieces in the same board.

Tips

  • Keep one Cutting Board dedicated to processing so you always know where to go.
  • Test unfamiliar items on the board before mass-crafting; the output preview tells you immediately whether it works.
