How to Find Guards in Villages

Locating Village Guards

The mod automatically places fantasy guards throughout villages to protect villagers. These guards spawn naturally and patrol village areas.

Where to Find Them

1. Visit any village - Guards appear in most villages, especially larger ones with multiple buildings.

2. Look near structures - Guards typically patrol near houses, wells, and gathering areas.

3. Check at night - Guards become more active and visible during darkness when threats increase.

4. Explore multiple villages - Different villages may have different guard types depending on biome and faction affiliation.

Interacting with Guards

Guards are neutral toward players and focus on defending villagers from hostile mobs. You can observe them engaging threats, and they'll drop loot if defeated (though this is not recommended as it removes village protection). Guards add atmosphere and make villages feel more alive and defended.

Customization

If village guards interfere with your playstyle, you can disable their spawning through the Mods > Config menu. This gives you complete control over whether villages have active protection.
