Ensure Horse Armor Displays Correctly

Equip Horse Armor

Tame a horse by repeatedly right-clicking it with an empty hand until hearts appear. Once tamed, right-click the horse to open its inventory. Place iron, gold, or diamond horse armor in the armor slot.

Verify Texture Application

Close the horse inventory and view the horse from a distance. With Fancy Gear active, horse armor should display the reshaded, more vibrant appearance matching the upgraded visual theme applied to player armor. The metallic sheen and enhanced contrast should be visible on the horse's body.

Check Resource Pack Priority

If horse armor appears unchanged or reverts to vanilla textures, return to Settings > Resource Packs and confirm Fancy Gear is in the active column and positioned above default resources. Restart your game client if needed.

Troubleshoot Conflicts

If you use multiple resource packs, ensure Fancy Gear is ranked highest to override conflicting textures. Some packs may override horse armor independently—reorder your active packs to prioritize Fancy Gear's equipment textures.
