Craft and Apply a Frame to Your Item Display

Gather Your Materials

First, decide which frame material you want to use: Wood, Stone, Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald, or Netherite. Collect four blocks or ingots of your chosen material.

Craft the Frame

Place a vanilla item frame in the center of your crafting grid. Arrange your four material blocks around it in the four cardinal directions (top, bottom, left, right). This creates a framed item frame ready to use.

Place and Decorate

Place the framed item frame on a wall or surface just like a normal item frame. Then place any item inside it—armor, tools, decorative blocks, or anything else you want to display. The frame material will now surround your item, giving it a polished, decorative appearance that matches your base's aesthetic.

Tips

Different materials work better with different building styles. Wooden frames suit natural builds, while Diamond and Emerald frames add luxury to grand halls. Experiment with frame materials to complement your décor.
