Create and Hang Your First Light String

Gather Materials

Collect string (or similar fibrous materials from the mod), light bulbs in your chosen colors, and connectors. You'll also need two anchor points—these can be blocks, fences, or posts at least two blocks apart.

Use the Crafting System

Open the custom crafting interface (usually accessed via a crafting table or dedicated station). Select your base string type, then add light bulbs in your desired pattern and colors. You can mix colors on a single string to create unique designs. Preview your creation before finalizing.

Place and Connect

Place the crafted string in your hotbar. Right-click on your first anchor point, then right-click on your second anchor point to hang the string between them. The string will drape naturally and sway in the wind. If placement fails, ensure the distance isn't too great and both anchor points are solid blocks or attachable surfaces.

Adjust and Decorate

Once hung, your lights will activate at night. You can remove the string by sneaking and right-clicking it, then re-craft or adjust the design as needed.
