The Fairy Lights Mod lets you combine multiple colors and light shapes on a single string. Instead of crafting one uniform color, you can create segments with different dyes and light types to make unique, personalized designs.

Build Your Custom String

In the crafting interface, you can add different colored dyes and light sources to various positions along the string. Think of it like painting sections—add red dye and lanterns to one segment, then yellow dye and paper lanterns to another. The interface shows a preview of how your pattern will look when hung.

Experiment and Refine

Try combining seasonal colors (orange and purple for Halloween, red and green for winter) or create rainbow gradients by alternating dye colors. You can also mix different light shapes—perhaps paper lanterns next to orbs or flowers. Test your designs in creative mode first to see how they look when placed and swaying in your build before committing resources in survival.
