How to Find and Harvest Custom Flowers for Dyes

Locating Custom Flowers

Custom flowers like Lavender, Calla Lilies, and Buttercups spawn naturally throughout various ExtrabiomesXL biomes. Explore the Autumn Woods, Green Swamplands, and Redwood Forest biomes first, as these tend to have abundant flower generation. Flowers are most visible in open areas and meadows rather than dense forest floors.

Harvesting and Crafting Dyes

Break flowers by hand or with any tool—they drop instantly without requiring a specific tool type. Collect multiple flowers of the same type to maximize dye output.

Once you have flowers, place them in a crafting grid to convert them into dyes. Each flower type produces a corresponding dye color that matches vanilla Minecraft dye mechanics. You can use these dyes for:

  • Coloring wool and leather armor
  • Crafting colored concrete and terracotta
  • Dyeing banners and shulker boxes
  • Creating decorative blocks

Sustainable Harvesting

Flowers will naturally regenerate in their biomes over time, so you can return to the same locations for repeated harvests. Consider marking flower-rich areas on your map for easy access during future exploration trips.
