How to Set Up a Two-Way Trading Hall with Extra Trades Mod
The Goal
Because the mod makes most items both buyable and sellable, the smartest setup is a trading hall where every villager can act as both a source and a sink. You sell raw materials, earn emeralds, and immediately spend them on finished goods — all without leaving the building.
Building the Hall
1. Pick a flat area and dig a row of cells, one per villager, each with a bed and the correct workstation block for its profession.
2. Bring in villagers (via minecart, boat, or breeding) and assign each to a cell. Place the workstation last so the profession locks in correctly.
3. Trade cheap offers with each villager until they reach a high level, unlocking the full expanded trade list.
4. Label each cell with a sign listing what that villager buys and sells, based on what you see in their trade screen.
5. Keep a central chest area stocked with the bulk items you plan to sell, and a second chest for the goods you buy back.
Running the Loop
- Start each session by selling surplus to the villagers who pay the most.
- Immediately reinvest those emeralds into buy trades for items you're short on.
- Rotate which villagers you sell to so demand meters recover and prices stay favorable.
- Cure a few villagers to lock in permanent discounts across the whole hall.
