How to Sell Items You Could Previously Only Buy from Villagers
Why This Matters
In vanilla, many items flow only one direction: you can buy them from a villager, but the villager will never buy them back. Extra Trades Mod flips this by adding reverse trades, so surplus goods you've accumulated can be turned into emeralds instead of piling up in chests.
Finding the Right Villager
1. Approach a villager whose profession normally sells the item you want to offload.
2. Open the trading screen and scroll through the full list of offers. The mod appends new sell-to-villager trades alongside the vanilla ones, so look past the first few entries.
3. If the trade you want isn't there, the villager may need to level up. Trade a few cheap offers to unlock additional tiers, then reopen the screen.
4. Once you see the reverse trade, note what the villager pays and how many items they accept per transaction.
5. Stock up on the item and click the offer repeatedly. Watch the villager's demand meter — prices shift as you exhaust their appetite for that item, so rotate between villagers if the payout drops.
Practical Tips
- Keep a dedicated villager for each item type you farm in bulk, so you always have a buyer on hand.
- Combine this with a simple farm (crops, iron, paper) to turn passive production into a steady emerald income.
