How to Buy Items That Were Never Available for Purchase Before

What Changed

Extra Trades Mod adds buy offers for items that vanilla villagers would only ever buy from you, or never touched at all. This means you can now spend emeralds on things you used to have to craft, farm, or loot yourself.

Locating the New Buy Trades

1. Visit villagers of the profession most thematically linked to the item you want — the mod attaches new offers to existing professions rather than creating new ones.

2. Open the trade GUI and read every entry carefully. New buy offers are mixed in with the standard list, so don't assume the first page is everything.

3. If nothing new appears, level the villager up. Many added trades sit at higher tiers and only unlock as the villager gains experience.

4. Hover each offer to confirm the emerald cost and the quantity you receive per trade.

5. Buy in bulk when the price is low; as with any villager trade, the cost can rise after repeated purchases and settle back down over time.

Making It Efficient

• Build a small trading hall with one villager per profession so you can quickly check who sells what.
• Cure zombie villagers to get discounts, which makes the new buy trades far cheaper.
• Pair this with the reverse trades from the same mod: sell your surplus to one villager, then spend the emeralds buying something you actually need from another.
