Setting Up an Automated Pipeline

Once you've mastered basic tool crafting, automation dramatically speeds up part production. This addon works seamlessly with Ex Nihilo's fluid systems and Tinkers' Construct's casting mechanics.

Building Your Automation

1. Create a sieving setup that feeds materials into crucibles automatically

2. Route molten material from crucibles to casting basins or tables

3. Use hoppers or item pipes to collect finished tool parts

4. Store parts in organized chests near your Tool Station

Fluids from crucibles can be piped directly to casting setups, eliminating manual bucket work. Multiple casting stations running in parallel multiply your output without requiring additional sieving.

Scaling Considerations

Start with one complete pipeline (sieve → crucible → casting) before expanding. Once stable, duplicate the setup to increase throughput. Prioritize automating your most-used materials first—typically early-game metals that you'll need in large quantities.

Monitor your storage to avoid bottlenecks. If tool parts accumulate faster than you use them, reduce sieving speed or redirect materials to other uses. Balance is key to efficient automation.
