Create Your First Painting from Scratch

Opening the Studio

Find any vanilla Minecraft painting and throw an egg at it. This opens the in-game studio interface with a blank canvas ready for your artwork.

Drawing Your Picture

1. Open the color wheel menu to select your desired color

2. Click pixels on the canvas to paint them one by one

3. Use the drawing tools menu to switch between brushes, erasers, and the color dropper tool

4. The color dropper lets you sample exact shades you've already used

5. Paint your complete design pixel by pixel

Saving Your Work

When finished, save your painting. The mod converts your artwork into a Custom Painting item that you can carry in your inventory. This item can be placed on walls, floors, ceilings, or wooden easels anywhere in your world. Your painting is now permanent and can be edited later by throwing an egg at it again.
