How to Craft and Wear Slavic Armory Armor

Getting Started with Slavic Armor

Slavic Armory armor comes in three material families: chainmail, lamellar, and plate. Each family has its own crafting path, and mixing pieces from different families is fine — you just won't get a matching set bonus (if the modpack you're using adds one).

Crafting Steps

1. Gather your base materials. Chainmail pieces typically need iron nuggets or chains plus leather, lamellar needs plates or scales combined with leather backing, and plate armor needs solid metal ingots shaped into curved plates.

2. Open the crafting grid and check the recipe book (the green book icon) — Slavic Armory recipes are registered there, so you can click a piece to auto-fill the grid once you have the materials.

3. Craft the helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots separately. Helmets often use a different pattern than the body pieces, so don't assume one layout works for all four.

4. Equip the pieces in your armor slots. If a piece won't equip, you're likely holding a decorative variant or a shield/weapon item rather than wearable armor.

Practical Tips

  • Lamellar sits between chainmail and plate in protection, so it's a good mid-game target.
  • Plate is heavy — some modpacks add a movement penalty, so test sprinting before committing to a full set.
  • Keep a spare helmet in your inventory; Slavic helmets sometimes have cosmetic variants you'll want to swap.
