Learning and Using Skillbooks for Special Abilities

Acquiring Skillbooks

Skillbooks like Redemption and Iron Will teach your character special combat abilities and techniques. These are found as loot throughout the world or crafted using rare materials.

Reading and Activating Skills

Once you obtain a skillbook, right-click it in your inventory to learn the ability. The skill will be added to your combat moveset. Different weapons may trigger different learned abilities depending on your attack timing and combo progression.

Using Skills in Combat

Activate learned abilities by performing specific attack combinations or by holding block while attacking, depending on the skill's mechanics. Some abilities consume stamina or require specific conditions (like being at low health for Redemption). Experiment with different weapon types to discover which skills work best with each one.

Stacking Multiple Skills

You can learn multiple skillbooks simultaneously. Your character will have access to all learned abilities, though only certain ones may activate based on your current weapon and combat state. Combine complementary skills for powerful synergies during extended fights.
