How to Make the Enderman Static Effect Work Properly
Why It May Not Trigger
- The effect only fires when you actually make eye contact with an Enderman, meaning your crosshair must pass over its head area, not just its body.
- If you have the effect disabled in the config, no amount of staring will produce static. Check the Enderman or "stare" toggle first.
- Other mods that replace the Enderman model or renderer can conflict with the overlay. Temporarily disable cosmetic or mob-model mods to test.
- Very low intensity settings can make the static nearly invisible on bright monitors. Raise the intensity slider.
Using It in Practice
When the static appears, you are already being targeted, so treat it as a warning rather than a surprise. Immediately look away, break line of sight with blocks, or place a two-block pillar and stand on top. In the End, the overlay can help you notice an aggroed Enderman behind you before it teleports. If you farm Endermen, keep the effect enabled at a moderate intensity so you still get the warning without losing visibility of your surroundings.
