How to Preview the New Dragon and Fireball Textures Safely
Set Up a Test World
You do not want to fly into a real End fight just to check textures. Create a creative superflat or void world, then use the summon command for the Ender Dragon to spawn one without triggering the full boss sequence. This lets you orbit the dragon and inspect the wing detail up close.
Inspecting Each Changed Texture
1. Ender Dragon — circle the boss and look at the wing membranes and body plating. The revamp focuses on making the silhouette feel more dynamic, so check the wing edges carefully.
2. Dragon fireball — let the dragon fire at you from a distance and watch the projectile texture. It is a distinct file from the dragon itself.
3. Elytra (worn) — equip Elytra and glide in third person (F5) to see the wing model on your back.
4. Elytra (item) — drop the Elytra or place it in an item frame to view the flat inventory icon.
Comparing Before and After
Toggle the pack on and off between reloads to A/B the look. Keep a screenshot of each state so you can confirm all four textures changed and none were missed. This is the fastest way to catch a partial conflict before you commit to a survival playthrough.
