How to Make Your Enchanted Gear Glow Brighter in Enchantment Glows

The whole point of this pack is a punchier glint, so if your enchanted items still look flat, the problem is almost always on your end, not the pack's. Here is how to get the full effect.

Check the pack is actually active

Open your resource pack screen and confirm Enchantment Glows sits above any other packs that also touch item textures or the glint. Packs lower in the list get overridden, so a general texture pack placed above it can hide the glow entirely. Drag Enchantment Glows to the top, then reload with the pack screen's done button.

Match your settings to the effect

  • Turn off any "no glint" or "clear glint" option in your client's video or quality settings if one exists, since it strips the shimmer before the pack can apply it.
  • Raise brightness and, if available, enable fancy/full graphics so the glow renders at full quality rather than a flat overlay.
  • If you run shaders, test with them off first. Some shader packs replace the enchantment glint with their own, which can wash out the vibrant look.

Confirm it is working

Enchant a cheap item like a wooden sword or a piece of leather armor, then view it in your inventory and in hand. The glow should read as a radiant aura rather than the vanilla faint purple sheen. If it does not, move the pack to the very top and reload once more.
