How to Use Helmet Enchantments: Assimilation, Perception, and Veil
What Each Helmet Enchantment Does
Helmet enchantments in Enchancement focus on utility and survival rather than raw defense.
- Assimilation: Automatically eats food when it would not be wasted. If you hold food in your off hand, only that food is checked. Eating and drinking happen faster than normal. This is excellent for long mining trips or boss fights where you cannot stop to eat manually.
- Perception: Grants increased visibility in darkness and lets you see entities through walls within a short radius. Great for cave exploration and spotting mobs before they spot you.
- Veil: Hostile mobs must get much closer before detecting you, and your nameplate is hidden through walls. Ideal for stealth builds, speedrunning, or avoiding unwanted fights.
How to Apply Them
1. Obtain the enchantment through the mod's enchanting station.
2. Apply it to any helmet — the mod does not restrict by material tier.
3. Combine with other gear: Veil pairs well with boots that boost movement, while Assimilation frees up your main hand during combat.
When to Pick Which
- Use Assimilation for general survival and long expeditions.
- Use Perception in dark biomes, caves, or the Deep Dark.
- Use Veil when you want to avoid mobs entirely or sneak past threats.
