Merge Hot Food Stacks to Preserve Heat

Freshly cooked skewers have a hot food status that gradually cools over time. While hot, they provide bonus saturation and seasoning effects. Merging stacks extends the overall heat timer by combining remaining durations.

Prepare Your Inventory

Cook multiple batches of the same skewer type so you have several identical hot food items in your inventory. Ensure they're the same recipe—different skewer types cannot merge.

Merge the Stacks

Hold down Caps Lock and left-click on one stack of hot food, then left-click on another matching stack. The stacks combine, and their heat timers merge together. This gives you a larger quantity of food with extended hot status.

Maximize Benefits

Merge stacks immediately after cooking to preserve as much heat as possible. A merged stack of hot food stays warm longer than individual portions, letting you enjoy the bonus saturation and potion effects across more meals. This is especially useful when cooking for multiple players or preparing for extended activities.
