Fixing the Swap Key Doing Nothing

If pressing the swap key has no effect, work through these checks before assuming the mod is broken.

Inventory and Item Checks

• You need both a chestplate and an elytra in your inventory for a swap to happen. If you only have one of them, there is nothing to trade.
• The elytra must be undamaged enough to equip; a fully broken elytra cannot be worn.
• Make sure the chestplate is not currently equipped in a way that blocks the swap, and that your chest slot is not occupied by something the mod will not move.
• Check that the items are actually in your inventory and not in a shulker box, ender chest, or dropped on the ground.

Keybind and Conflict Checks

• Confirm the keybind is still set in Options > Controls > Key Binds. Updates or config resets can clear it.
• Look for another mod or a vanilla action bound to the same key. Two actions on one key often means only one fires.
• Try the swap while standing still with the inventory closed, then again with it open, to see whether the issue is context-specific.
• If it still fails, restart the game so the mod reloads its config, then test again on a fresh world.
