How to Trigger The Awakening

Finding the Sensory Deprivation Tank

The Awakening begins when you locate and interact with a sensory deprivation tank somewhere in your world. This structure generates naturally in your Minecraft terrain. Search caves, dark forests, and underground areas where the mod's structures spawn.

Starting the Event

Once you find the tank, approach it and attack the creature sealed inside. This action triggers The Awakening and permanently changes your world state. After this point:

• Dark rifts begin tearing open randomly near your base and throughout the world
• Dangerous creatures like Demogorgons, Demodogs, and Demobats start spawning
• Your torches and lanterns will flicker when dark forces approach
• The Upside Down dimension becomes accessible through rifts

Preparation Before Triggering

Before attacking the tank creature, gather supplies: food, weapons, and a Walkman with a music disc (Running Up That Hill or similar). Stock your base with torches and lanterns—these will serve as early warning systems. Once triggered, The Awakening cannot be undone, so ensure you're ready for constant threats.
