Finding Your First Battles

Earth & Water Mod adds two elemental mobs to fight: the Bore in Ancient Ruins underground, and the Brine in underwater Conduit Monuments. Both drop materials needed for crafting.

When fighting a Bore, watch for it to burrow into the ground to escape. Use a pickaxe to dig it back up and continue the fight. The Brine throws sticky water bombs that explode after a few seconds and push you away.

After defeating these mobs, collect Steel Nuggets from the structures to upgrade your gear. Combine a shield with a Steel Upgrade Template and Steel Ingot at a Smithing Table to craft a Spiked Shield, which bounces damage back at attackers. You can customize it further by adding banners.

For extended combat, activate Reinforced Spawner blocks with a Reinforced Key to face waves of enemies—defeat each wave before the next begins.
