Make Trees Grow Faster or Slower

Adjusting Growth Speed Globally

Dynamic Trees Terralith trees follow the mod's growth mechanics, which depend on random ticks and environmental conditions. To change how quickly all trees mature across Terralith biomes, access the main Dynamic Trees configuration file.

Configuration Steps

Open the Dynamic Trees config (not the Terralith-specific pack). Look for settings related to:

• Growth tick rate: Controls how often trees attempt to grow
• Multiplier values: Speed modifiers for tree development stages

Increase the multiplier or tick rate to speed up growth; decrease them to slow it down.

Per-Biome Adjustments

For finer control, edit individual Tree Pack files for specific Terralith biomes. Each pack can have its own growth speed independent of others.

In-Game Testing

After saving changes, reload your world. Saplings planted in new chunks will reflect the new growth speed. Note that growth also depends on light levels and random tick speed—ensure your world's random tick speed is appropriate for the effect you want.
