Customize Tree Growth in Specific Biomes

Using Tree Packs

Dynamic Trees Terralith uses Tree Packs to control how trees behave in each biome. Tree Packs are configuration files that define growth speed, size, shape, and spawn rates for trees in Terralith biomes.

Finding and Editing Tree Pack Files

Locate your mod's config folder and find the Dynamic Trees Terralith configuration directory. Tree Packs are typically stored as JSON or similar config files organized by biome name.

Open the Tree Pack file for your target biome. Common customizable settings include:

  • Growth rate: How quickly trees mature
  • Size range: Minimum and maximum tree height
  • Density: How many trees spawn per chunk
  • Variants: Which tree models appear in that biome

Edit the values to your preference, then save the file. Restart your world or use a config reload command if available. New chunks will generate with your custom settings. Existing trees won't change unless you regenerate the terrain.

Testing Changes

Create a new world or travel to unexplored chunks to see your modifications in action. Adjust values incrementally to find the balance you prefer.
