How to Fix a Drippy Loading Screen That Shows a Blank or Default Screen

Check the config first

If your custom background, logo, or bar is not showing, the cause is almost always the config file rather than the mod itself.

1. Open the Drippy Loading Screen config in your instance's config folder.

2. Verify that every image path you set actually points to a file that exists, with the exact filename and extension, including capitalization.

3. Confirm the image files are in a location the game can read — the config folder is the most reliable place.

4. If you edited the config while the game was running, restart the game; the loading screen only reads the config at startup.

When the screen still looks default

If paths are correct but nothing changes, the config may have been reset or overwritten — for example by a modpack update or a launcher that manages configs. Re-apply your edits and keep a personal backup of the config outside the instance. Also check that the image format is one the game can load; a corrupt or unsupported file will silently fall back to the default screen. If only one element is missing, isolate it by reverting that single entry to its default and testing, which tells you whether the problem is the file or the value you set.
