How to Change the Background Image on Your Drippy Loading Screen

Point the mod at your own image

Drippy Loading Screen reads its background from a config file, not from an in-game menu, so the workflow is: drop an image somewhere the game can reach it, then reference that path in the config.

1. Open your Minecraft instance folder and locate the config directory.

2. Find the Drippy Loading Screen config file inside it and open it in a plain text editor.

3. Put your image in a stable location — the config folder alongside the config file is the safest choice, since paths are resolved relative to the game directory.

4. In the config, set the background image entry to the path of your file (for example, a file placed directly in config is referenced by its filename).

5. Save the file and restart the game so the loading screen reloads the config.

Getting the image to look right

Use a landscape image at or above your monitor's resolution so it does not stretch or blur. Very large files will slow the loading screen down, so keep the file size reasonable. If the image does not appear, check that the filename and extension in the config match the file on disk exactly, including capitalization — a mismatch is the most common cause of a blank or default background.
