Getting the Book of Dragons and Using It

Obtaining Your Book

When you first spawn into a world with the mod installed, you automatically receive the Book of Dragons in your inventory. This is your primary reference guide for all dragon-related information.

If you lose your book, use the command /bookdob to get a replacement copy.

What the Book Contains

The Book of Dragons documents all 12 dragon types available in the mod, including:

• Dragon behavior and temperament
• Taming difficulty and requirements
• Special abilities and characteristics
• Identification tips to find specific dragons

Using the Book Effectively

Open the book before exploring to learn which dragons spawn in your area and what to expect when you encounter them. This helps you prepare appropriate food and plan your taming strategy. The book also explains special mechanics like why Night Furies are harder to tame than other species.

Reference During Gameplay

Keep the book handy as you explore. Consult it whenever you encounter an unfamiliar dragon to learn its name, behavior, and taming requirements.
