How to Open Only One Door While the Mod Is Installed

Use Sneak to Bypass the Mod

The mod includes a built-in way to open a single block without uninstalling or reconfiguring anything. Hold your sneak/crouch key while right-clicking a door, trapdoor, or fence gate. While crouching, the double-door feature is disabled, so only the exact block you click will open or close.

When to Use This

  • You want to slip through one half of a double door without swinging both open.
  • You are building or decorating and need precise control over individual blocks.
  • You want to leave one trapdoor closed while opening its neighbor.

Redstone Still Affects Both

Note that crouching only changes what happens when you click. A button or pressure plate wired to one of the pair will still trigger the connected block according to the mod's rules, because that is a redstone activation rather than a player click. If you need a redstone signal to affect only one block, separate the pair so they are no longer adjacent or beyond the configured connection distance.

If Sneaking Does Not Work

Confirm you are actually in the crouch state before clicking. Some players release the key too early. Also check that the mod is loaded and functioning for that block type; if the category is disabled in the config, every click already opens a single block regardless of sneaking.
