How to Configure Which Blocks Use the Double Door Feature

Find the Config File

The mod stores its settings in a configuration file generated in your game's config folder. Open it with a plain text editor while the game is closed so your changes are not overwritten on exit.

Toggle Block Categories

The config lets you enable or disable the simultaneous-opening behavior separately for different block types. Look for options covering double doors, trapdoors, and fence gates. Setting a category to disabled means those blocks behave like vanilla — only the block you click will open. This is useful if you want the convenience for doors but prefer trapdoors to stay independent.

Adjust the Connection Distance

The mod searches for a connected door-type block within a maximum distance. This value is configurable. Increasing it lets the mod link pairs that are spaced further apart; decreasing it restricts linking to blocks that are very close. Keep in mind that a very large range could cause unintended blocks to be treated as a pair, so raise it only as far as you need.

Apply and Test

Save the file and launch the game. Test each block type by right-clicking a pair and confirming whether both move. If a change did not take effect, close the game fully, recheck the file for typos, and confirm you edited the correct config for the profile you are playing.
