Use YouTube and Other Platform Links in Custom Records

Supported URL Sources

DiscCord works with several music sources. YouTube links are fully supported—simply copy the URL from your browser's address bar and paste it into your Custom Record. Discord CDN links, Dropbox direct share links, and Google Drive shareable links also work.

Getting Direct Links

For YouTube, use the standard video URL from the address bar. For Dropbox, right-click a file and select "Copy link," then modify the URL ending from ?dl=0 to ?dl=1 to force direct download. For Google Drive, share a file and copy the shareable link.

Pasting and Processing

Right-click your Custom Record and paste your chosen URL into the input field. The mod uses YoutubeDL to extract audio from the source, then FFmpeg converts it to a playable format. Processing time depends on the file size and your internet connection.

Troubleshooting Links

If a link fails to work, ensure it points directly to audio or a video with audio. Some platforms restrict access; verify the link works in your browser first. Age-restricted YouTube videos may require additional configuration in YoutubeDL settings.
