Set Up FFmpeg and YoutubeDL for DiscCord

Installing Required Tools

DiscCord requires FFmpeg and YoutubeDL to convert and extract audio from URLs. These tools must be placed in your config/disccord/ folder.

Download FFmpeg from its official source and extract it. Locate the executable files and place them in config/disccord/ffmpeg/. Similarly, obtain YoutubeDL and place it in config/disccord/youtubedl/.

Auto-Install Option

If you prefer not to manually download and configure these tools, check the mod's configuration file. DiscCord offers an optional auto-install feature that can download and set up FFmpeg and YoutubeDL automatically on first launch.

Enable this option in your config settings, then restart your game. The mod will handle the setup process for you.

Verifying Installation

Once installed, test by creating a Custom Record and entering a valid URL. If the mod processes the link without errors, your tools are correctly configured. If you encounter issues, verify that both FFmpeg and YoutubeDL are in the correct directories and that your system has permission to execute them.
