Create and Use Your First Custom Record

Crafting a Custom Record

Gather the materials needed to craft a Custom Record. Check your mod's crafting recipe in JEI or NEI. Once you have the ingredients, place them in your crafting table to create a blank Custom Record.

Adding Music to Your Record

With your Custom Record in hand, right-click it to open the URL input dialog. Paste a direct link to an audio file or a supported video platform URL into the text field. The mod accepts YouTube links, Discord CDN URLs, Dropbox direct links, and Google Drive shareable links.

Press confirm to save the URL to your record. The mod will process the link using YoutubeDL and FFmpeg to extract and prepare the audio.

Playing Your Record

Place a Jukebox in your world and insert your Custom Record into it. The Jukebox will begin playing the music from your URL. The audio streams client-side, so you'll hear it on your machine while the server simply tells your client which record is playing.

You can create multiple Custom Records with different URLs and swap them between Jukeboxes as needed.
