Pick Up a Full Plate Without Losing Food

Prepare to Harvest

When you have a plate with food on it that you want to move or store, you'll need to use the crouch mechanic to safely collect it.

Crouch and Break the Plate

While sneaking (hold the crouch key), look at your placed plate and break it by left-clicking. When you break a plate while crouching, the entire plate—including all the food resting on it—will be picked up as a single item and added to your inventory.

Transport Your Meal

Carry the full plate to your desired location. You can place it down again by right-clicking on any surface, and all the food will remain exactly as it was.

Important: Normal Breaking Drops Food

If you break a plate without crouching, or if it's destroyed by an explosion, all the food will scatter and drop onto the floor as individual items. Always crouch when you want to preserve a meal!
