Customize Mob Appearance with Entity Models

Required Mods

Custom mob models and textures require Entity Model Features (EMF) and Entity Texture Features (ETF). Both must be installed for mobs to display updated appearances.

Enable Custom Entities

1. Load Detailed Worlds with EMF and ETF active.

2. Spawn or encounter mobs in your world.

3. Mobs now display custom 3D models and refined textures—smoother animations, better proportions, and detailed surface work.

What Changes

  • Hostile mobs: Zombies, skeletons, and spiders show improved geometry and texture detail.
  • Passive mobs: Cows, sheep, and pigs have refined models with realistic fur and hide textures.
  • Animations: Mobs move more fluidly with enhanced rigging.

Troubleshooting

If mobs still look vanilla:

  • Confirm EMF and ETF are both installed and enabled.
  • Check mod load order (some loaders require specific ordering).
  • Reload chunks or restart the world.

Custom entity rendering is separate from block textures, so disabling animations in the settings menu won't affect mob models.
