Optimize Performance While Maintaining Visual Quality
Understand Destiny's Resolution Trade-offs
At 128x resolution, Destiny is more demanding than vanilla textures but lighter than 256x or 512x packs. If you experience lag, the issue is likely your shader, not the resource pack itself. Disable intensive shader features like POM or reduce shadow distance before removing Destiny.
Adjust Shader Settings for Your Hardware
Open your shader options and lower shadow resolution, draw distance, or ambient occlusion quality. These changes preserve Destiny's visual character while improving frame rate. Start conservatively—you can always increase settings if performance allows.
Use Modular Installation Wisely
If you need maximum performance, consider loading only Destiny Core (overworld blocks) and skipping SURPLUS or ITEMS temporarily. This reduces loaded texture files. However, the full pack is designed to work together, so this is a last resort.
Monitor Your Frame Rate
Use an in-game FPS counter to test different shader and resource pack combinations. Destiny shines with shaders enabled, but even without them, the 128x textures provide a significant visual upgrade. Find the balance that keeps your game playable while looking good.
