Available Deepslate Building Blocks

The mod adds deepslate as a dark, textured alternative to regular stone. You can craft deepslate stairs, slabs, and walls for construction. These blocks have a distinctive dark appearance that works well for underground bases, modern builds, or contrast with lighter materials.

Obtaining Deepslate Blocks

Mine deepslate ore or deepslate stone from the deep underground. Deepslate stone generates naturally below Y-level 0. You can also craft deepslate blocks from raw deepslate materials if available in your mod version.

Crafting Variants

Use a crafting table to convert deepslate blocks into stairs and slabs. Stairs require three deepslate blocks arranged in the standard stair pattern. Slabs require three deepslate blocks in a horizontal row, yielding six slabs. These variants let you create detailed architecture and slopes.

Design Ideas

Deepslate works excellently for underground bases, dungeon-themed builds, and modern structures. Pair it with copper blocks or amethyst for color contrast. The dark tone makes it ideal for creating shadow and depth in builds. Combine deepslate stairs and slabs to build complex rooflines and decorative details.
