Dense trees provide more planks per log than vanilla trees. Each log you harvest will convert into additional planks when crafted, making them an efficient resource for large building projects or mass production of wooden items.

Harvesting Efficiently

When you locate a dense tree (identifiable by its particle effects), chop it down completely to maximize your resource gain. Collect every log, as each one contributes to your increased yield. Unlike regular trees, no log from a dense tree is wasted.

Scaling Your Collection

To gather large quantities of resources, focus your wood-gathering efforts on dense trees rather than vanilla ones. Over time, this approach yields substantially more planks without requiring you to fell more trees. This is especially useful for mega-builds or automated farms.

If you control the server or modpack settings, check the configuration to ensure dense trees spawn frequently enough in your preferred biomes. Adjusting spawn rates or removing biome blacklists can increase your access to these resource-rich trees and reduce the time spent searching.
