Customizing Dense Tree Spawning in Your World

Accessing Configuration Files

Dense Trees Mod settings are controlled through configuration files in your mod folder. Locate the mod's config file and open it with a text editor to adjust spawn behavior, biome restrictions, and sapling mechanics.

Using Biome Blacklist

The biomeBlacklist setting prevents dense trees from spawning in specific biomes. Add biome names (formatted as minecraft:biome_name) to this list to exclude them. This is useful if you want dense trees only in certain areas or if they're causing performance issues in particular biomes.

Adjusting Sapling Behavior

Toggle enableSaplingToDenseTree to allow or prevent saplings from growing into dense trees. If enabled, adjust saplingToDenseTreeChance to control the probability—a higher percentage makes dense trees more common when saplings grow. Set it to 0 to disable dense tree growth from saplings entirely.

Applying Changes

Save your configuration file and restart your game or server for changes to take effect. Test by planting saplings or exploring new chunks to confirm your settings work as intended. If you're unsure about syntax, check the default config file for proper formatting examples.
