How to Toggle or Remove Default Dark Mode Without Uninstalling

You don't need to delete anything to turn the dark interface on or off — resource packs can be enabled and disabled freely from the in-game menu.

Turning It Off Temporarily

1. Open Options, then Resource Packs.

2. Move Default Dark Mode from the selected column back to the available column.

3. Click Done. The interface returns to the vanilla bright look immediately after resources reload.

The pack file stays in your resource packs folder, so you can re-enable it any time by moving it back.

Switching Between Light and Dark Quickly

• Keep Default Dark Mode in the available column when you want light mode, and move it to selected when you want dark mode.
• If you use multiple packs, remember that disabling Default Dark Mode may reveal another pack's GUI underneath.

Removing It Entirely

1. Disable the pack in-game first.

2. Close the game.

3. Delete the pack file or folder from your resource packs directory.

4. Relaunch and confirm it no longer appears in the list.

If It Won't Disable

A server-forced pack can't be removed while connected. Disconnect from the server, then disable it in the main menu.
