Customize Which Compass Elements Display
Configuring Compass Components
Dead Reckoning lets you show or hide specific parts of the compass ribbon to reduce clutter or focus on what matters to you.
Available Customization Options
1. Open Dead Reckoning's configuration menu from your pause screen or main menu settings.
2. You'll find toggle options for individual compass elements:
- Cardinal directions: Show or hide N, S, E, W labels
- Degree markings: Display numerical degree indicators
- Waypoint markers: Toggle display of markers from Surveyor, Antique Atlas, or Hoofprint
- Compass ribbon: Enable or disable the entire ribbon
3. Toggle each element on or off based on your preference.
4. Apply your changes and return to the game.
Optional Requirements
You can also configure whether the compass requires you to hold a compass item to display. If enabled, the ribbon only appears when a compass is in your hand or hotbar. This is useful for immersion or reducing screen clutter during exploration.
Experiment with different combinations to find the setup that works best for your playstyle.
