Fixing /trigger darkzoom Not Working on a Server

Why the Command Fails

DarkZoom is a server-side mod, which means the zoom logic lives on the server, not in your client. If /trigger darkzoom returns an error like "Unknown scoreboard objective" or simply does nothing, the problem is almost always on the server side, not with your game installation.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Confirm you are on the right server. The mod must be installed on the server you are playing on. Joining a vanilla server without it will never work, no matter what you type.

2. Check the objective exists. A server admin can verify the trigger objective is registered. If it is missing, the mod is not loaded or not initialized on that server.

3. Type the command exactly. It is /trigger darkzoom — no extra spaces, correct spelling, all lowercase.

4. Test in singleplayer. Create a test world with cheats enabled and try the command there. If it works in singleplayer but not on the server, the server is the issue.

5. Ask the server owner. Since setup is server-side, only whoever runs the server can reinstall or reconfigure the mod.

If you are a player on someone else's server, your options are limited to reporting it — you cannot fix a server-side trigger from your own client.
